Fleet Leasing Network Builds Sustainability Fluency Across Its Franchise Members
A one-day education session gave a national fleet leasing network’s franchise representatives a working foundation in supply chain sustainability and where the industry is heading.
The client is a national fleet leasing organization made up of independent regional franchises. Ahead of its annual member meeting, it wanted every representative in the room to leave with the same practical understanding of what sustainability means for the transportation industry and how quickly it is changing. SPARQ360 was brought in to deliver that grounding.
The Challenge
In a franchise network, each member runs its own business, and understanding of sustainability varied widely from one representative to the next. Meanwhile, customers were increasingly asking their transportation providers about emissions and sustainability, and members needed to be able to answer those questions credibly rather than improvise.
Without a shared baseline, the network risked fragmented and inconsistent answers to the same customer questions. The only real alternative was for each member to build sustainability knowledge on its own, which across a network of independent franchises is slow and uneven. What the group needed was a common starting point, delivered in one sitting, by people who actually work in the industry.
The Strategy
SPARQ360 designed a focused education session for the annual meeting. Rather than an academic overview, the goal was practical fluency: what sustainability actually is, the trends shaping the transportation industry, and what those trends mean for fleet operators specifically. Because SPARQ360 comes at this as supply chain and logistics people, the material stayed close to the members’ day-to-day reality instead of drifting into theory.

The Implementation
SPARQ360 attended the annual meeting in person, presented the industry overview, and stayed to answer members’ questions directly after the session. Beyond the presentation itself, the team left members with resources and a set of ongoing contacts they could reach out to when they needed more information or support. The intent was to hand the group a foundation it could keep using long after the meeting ended.
The Results
Members came away with a solid, shared understanding of sustainability and how it affects the transportation industry, along with the resources and contacts to take the next step on their own. For a franchise network, that shared baseline is the point: it lets members speak to customers about sustainability from common ground.
