What are cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of text sent by your web browser by a website you visit. A cookie file is stored in your web browser and allows us or a third-party to recognize you and make your next visit easier and the website more useful to you.
First party cookies
These cookies are set by the website you’re visiting. And only that website can read them.
Third party cookies
These cookies are set by someone other than the owner of the website you’re visiting. Some SPARQ360 pages may also contain content from other sites like YouTube or Flickr, which may set their own cookies. Also, if you share a link to a SPARQ360 page, the service you share it on (for example, Facebook) may set a cookie on your browser. We have no control over third-party cookies but not through us.
Cookies and expiration time
Session cookies are also used by the server to store information about user page activities so users can easily pick up where they left off on the server’s pages. By default, web pages really don’t have any ‘memory’. cookies tell the server what pages to show the user so the user doesn’t have to remember or start navigating the site all over again. Cookies act as a sort of “bookmark” within the site. Similarly, cookies can store ordering information needed to make shopping carts work instead of forcing the user to remember all the items the user puts in the shopping cart.
Persistent or tracking cookies are also employed to store user preferences. Many websites allow the user to customize how information is presented through site layouts or themes. These changes make the site easier to navigate and/or lets the user leave a part of the user’s “personality” at the site. For Information on session and persistent and tracking cookies, see here
These cookies placed on your browser ensure that information and services are securely and optimally delivered. Necessary cookies help make a website usable by enabling basic functions like page navigation and access to secure areas of the website. The website cannot function properly without these cookies. You must accept these cookies to be able to make use of our online systems.
Functional cookies are cookies that ensure the proper functioning of the Website (e.g. cookies for login or registration, language preferences). …
Performance cookies (statistics)
These cookies are used to monitor the use of the website. Cookies with statistical purposes allow checking which pages of the Website you visit, where your computer is localized etc. These cookies are not essential, but they enhance the use of a website.
Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites. The intention is to display ads that are relevant and
engaging for the individual user and thereby more valuable for publishers and third party advertisers.
